🪔 Ganesh Utsav

  • Where: Celebrated all over India, but especially grand in Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. It is also celebrated internationally by Indian communities.

🙏 Why Is It Celebrated?

The festival marks the birth of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It symbolizes:

  • The arrival of positivity and prosperity.
  • The removal of obstacles (Vighna) from devotees’ lives.
  • The celebration of new beginnings (often coincides with new business ventures, academic years, etc.)

🏠 At Home:

  • Many pandals have themes, showcasing social messages or art.
